This rustic retreat is steeped in tradition on the island of Großer Werder in Lake Liepnitzsee, and a visit here is a real experience as visitors can only get here using a ferry that has transported day-trippers to the island for more than a century. Guests at the beer garden are served hearty soups and small snacks as well as ice cream varieties and cakes at covered seating under large linden and chestnut trees. The drinks menu includes soft drinks, juices, cold beer, wine and hot drinks like aromatic coffee.
