The Finow water tower is the landmark of the Finowtal Valley. It was built in 1917/18 by Hirsch Kupfer- und Messingwerke AG to supply the region's industrial companies. The tower was designed by the architect Paul Mebes (1872-1938) from Berlin, one of the leading pioneers of modern urban planning. The tower is of significance in the history of architecture not just in the region, it is one of the earliest examples of brick expressionism in Germany interspersed with Gothic style elements.

A wheelchair accessible lift takes visitors to the museum on the second floor in 44 seconds. The 300-year history of the factory is presented in the former water tank. Group tours of the historical brass works settlement and the works of art by Cesar Klein can also be arranged over the telephone.

Last but not least, the tower affords stunning views. From the museum, 40 steps take you up to the 44-metre high viewing platform. From here, you can see the Finowtal valley and on a clear day as far as the television tower on Berlin's Alexanderplatz.
