The best observation periods are from the end of September to mid-November and from mid-February to mid-April. In autumn, thousands of Nordic wild geese flock here. When there is flooding, ducks and wading birds come to the Ungeheuerwiesen. Osprey also breed here. In March, you can observe courtship displays and mating and later the young birds being fed.
