Since 1988, the Café im Walde on Lake Großer Wünsdorfer See has been a popular destination for visitors from Berlin as well as for guests from the surrounding area. The café is located in a forest settlement in the town district of Neuhof in Zossen, just a stone’s throw from the bathing area. The café offers two comfortable dining areas, a restaurant area to the rear where you will be spoilt for choice between pineapple tart, latte macchiato or nougat tart, apple pie and traditional Eierschecke apple, quark and poppy seed cake from the glazed cake counter. In winter, it is lovely to sit here comfortably by the warming tiled stove. The front dining room, flooded by daylight, in the conservatory extension is perfect with its view over the terrace and grounds. In summer, ice cream is made in the restaurant’s own kitchen. A selection of hearty meals is also served.
