This restaurant is situated not far from the church in Raben, and is one of the oldest restaurants in the Hoher Fläming area. The landlords can look back on a proud family tradition going back to the time of Frederick Augustus II, the Saxon prince-elector and king of Poland. Elisabeth Hesse, the direct descendant of Raben’s first innkeeper, Johann Christian Hemmerling, has now been running the restaurant since 1990, continuing more than 270 years of uninterrupted family tradition. The restaurant is known for its home cooking with game meat, trout and potatoes from the local region.
