Beelitz asparagus is famous throughout Germany and lovers of the king of vegetables are well looked after at Restaurant "Zur Alten Brauerei". Every year from mid-April to St John's Day on June 24, the restaurant serves a wide selection of asparagus dishes. From July, fish, including from our own smokehouse, duck and mushroom dishes on the menu. The restaurant serves high-quality German cuisine, as well as delicious tray bakes.

The restaurant steeped in tradition is a family-run business in the “Alten Brauerei” old brewery building, where guests have been served since about 1650. Beer was also brewed here until 1925.

The rustic dining area with wooden beams on the ceiling and plain wooden tables can accommodate about 100 persons. Another 100 persons can be catered for in the beer garden in the idyllic courtyard.

The restaurant closes its doors every year from mid-September and opens again in mid-April to treat its guests to the first asparagus.
