The park’s motto “Nature-Culture-Recreation” is coming alive at this spectacular park where a myriad of optical sensations await the visitor: colour pyramids and rainbow-coloured flower beds, musical colour spaces, an optical playground for toddlers and older kids, idyllic raft rides along a cut-off stream branch of the River Havel, roses, perennials and thousands of blossoms and fascinating optical phenomena. The world´s largest and still fully functional medial telescope (German: “Brachymedial-Fernrohr”) and Brandenburg’s tallest lighthouse using a lens that was made in the town of Rathenow are the latest highlights of the park. Water enthusiasts and boat captains find a service station adjacent to the park.
