Stages

Ever since it began, the event-theater has been committed to bringing together culture and tourism. Top-quality theatre and musical theatre is put on show in the historical buildings, gardens and parks of the thousand-year-old cathedral town of Brandenburg an der Havel. Anchored in a tourist-focused framework, theatre is reimagined over and over again, and put together in surprising new ways. The events are combined with themed culinary experiences or with the arrival or departure by passenger ship. A cultural highlight is the Brandenburger Klostersommer (‘Summer of Monasteries’), initiated by event-theater, that has been delighting audiences from far and wide for the last twenty years. Elaborately staged classics are also performed, including ‘Faust’, ‘Don Juan’, ‘My Fair Lady’ and currently ‘The Spessart Inn’, as well as small, informative theatre evenings – often accentuated with music – about prominent personalities in current affairs.

Since 2003 the non-profit association has also run the cultural institution ‘Fontane-Klub’, and performs a schedule including theatre, music, cabaret, readings and an art-house cinema at the house on the Jahrtausendbrücke bridge.
