Café Schauwerk is located on the market square in Altdöbern. It combines a large manufactory and bakery/pastry shop with a cosy café atmosphere and a large bakery and ice cream shop. Here you can not only watch and taste, but also take part: baking courses on a wide variety of topics are offered in the Schaumanufaktur.

Let yourself be spoilt and enjoy the atmosphere at Café Schauwerk. In addition to delicious cake and pastry creations, there is also a selection of savoury snacks, daily specials and breakfast options on offer. Whether for breakfast, lunch, coffee hour or a snack for in between, the focus is always on the love of craftsmanship and working with regional ingredients. In the small gift world in the Schauwerk you will find regional products to take home, e.g. Lusatian chocolate, honey and beeswax products from local beekeepers, decorative items made of cast iron and Baumkuchen made in the Schaumanufaktur.



Throughout the year, various lovingly arranged events, e.g. autumn market, wedding fair, Advent handicrafts and smoked trout evenings, attract visitors. In addition, birthday parties, weddings or family celebrations can be hosted in the café.

Dogs are welcome and a water bowl is provided.
