The village of Buczyny is 9 kilometres behind the Bad Muskau border crossing point. On the right-hand side of the road stands the "Lausitz Open-Air Museum", also called the Skansen, with the "Sorbische Schenke". The area covers about two hectares and is an interesting place to stop. It houses a number of 250-year-old timber houses from the Lausitz region and eastern Poland illustrating the way of life of the Sorbian people at the time.
