The airfield in Strausberg has existed for more than 70 years. It was originally used for military purposes. Since 1992, it is used for commercial traffic and for training in the areas of flight and aviation.

There are various options for leaving the ground at the Strausberg airfield. These range from balloons via gliders, through to motorised aeroplanes, helicopters and ultralight planes. Services are provided by several flight schools and a gliding club, which also offers youth consecration flights. Please refer to the website for contact information.

The Flugplatzmuseum e.V. friends’ association is dedicated to the history of flight in Strausberg, and historic artefacts are presented at the airfield museum. Regular tours take place on the 1st and 3rd weekend of each month: at 3 p.m. on Saturdays and at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
