Volunteers from the Schöneicher Nature Conservation Active run the popular summer café. On the first Sunday of July, August and September 2024, the café opens in the popular park and natural playground at the Berliner Straße entrance.

Coffee, tea and homemade lemonades are sold from the former ticket booth of the old open-air swimming pool. A wide range of cakes and pies, including always a vegan and a gluten-free variety, will be available under the large roof, the cake sale is also offered "to take away" in case of rain and in tins brought along. 

All cakes will be freshly prepared by volunteers each and donated to the conservation activist.

The proceeds will be used for the conservation work of the association.

The duo "Lovely Soul", consisting of the married couple Gerwin (vocals/guitar) and Ulli Kästner (bass), will play for entertainment. The two Schöneicher cover favorite songs of the past 100 years. Many pieces in their repertoire, which ranges from jazz to blues to soul, are classics: their rich fund of timeless evergreens includes pieces by Duke Ellington, Nina Simone, Bill Withers, Eric Clapton, Neil Young and many, many other artists.
